The Copyright sign (©, an encircled "C") relates to copyright law and indicates that the work is protected under Intellectual Property and Copyright Law.

Adding the Copyright symbol is optional in the European Union and in most countries that signed the Berne Convention. It is only mandatory in countries that require copyright registration to benefit from author's rights, such as the United States.

Adding the copyright symbol to your creations is still recommended, if only to inform people who come into contact with your works that they are not free of rights.

Courts systematically apply the principle of prior existence in disputes. Depositing your creations on Copyright01.com allows you to provide proof of prior existence in cases of plagiarism, counterfeiting or unauthorized copying.

The Registered sign (®, an encircled "R") is used to indicate that a trademark is registered with an intellectual property office (USPTO in the United States, EUIPO in Europe).

This means that the use of this trademark in a website name, business name or product is legally protected. Misusing the ® symbol without actual registration may constitute an offense.

The Trademark sign (™, a superscript "TM") is used to indicate that a term, logo or slogan is used as a commercial trademark.

Unlike the ® symbol, the ™ is primarily informational and does not require official registration. It serves to publicly signal the intent to protect a distinctive sign.
