Our mission
Every day, creations are copied without permission. Without proof of date, a creator is powerless against plagiarism. Traditional solutions exist but they are expensive, slow or limited in file size.
Copyright01 makes proof of prior existence accessible. Deposits are instant, the first 3 deposits are free and the certificate can be publicly verified by anyone.
How a deposit works
When you deposit a file, the platform computes its SHA-256 fingerprint, a unique cryptographic signature. This fingerprint is timestamped and written on a certificate. The file is AES-256 encrypted and kept on two separate infrastructures in France.
In case of a dispute, the certificate demonstrates that you held the work on a given date. This mechanism relies on the Berne Convention, recognized in 181 countries, which protects a work from the moment of its creation.
